Grandparents play an important role in the lives of their grandchildren. To celebrate the Feast of Anne and Joachim who were the grandparents of Jesus, students at OLA held small celebrations in their classrooms for their grandparents.
The morning started with Kindergarten leading the liturgy celebrating and thanking the grandparents for everything they do for us. All the grandparents gathered in the Music Room as it started to rain. Morning tea was organised by the P & F after which the grandparents visited their grandchild’s classroom. Each class presented either a song or poem in their honour. The children eagerly showed their grandparents all the wonderful work they have been doing.
We hope all our special visitors enjoyed their time at their grandchild’s school. Here is a small photo montage of the day.
