The OLA community gathered together in our Church to celebrate the beginning of the school year and induct our newly elected SRC committee. Several students from each grade participated in various aspects of the Mass before Father Warren blessed the badges to be given to the new members of the SRC committee. After Mrs Hey read the names of each student, they gathered on the Altar to recite their promise to the staff, students and parents about the commitment they are making for 2014.

Later that night, parents, students and staff gathered together to catch up, mingle and meet new members of our community. While the parents mingled, the students danced the evening away with Dance Fever who provided music for the night. It was great to see so many parents get onto the dance floor with their children and showed their dance moves. Others had fun playing soccer or running around the oval.
What a great way to start the school year!!
