Twenty-eight students represented Our Lady of the Angels at the Hills Zone Swimming Carnival. The students all arrived early at Hawkesbury Oasis pool, to prepare for the day. We may have been one of the smaller teams, but we made up for our size by the way we cheered on our peers and represented OLA. The students were supportive of one another an displayed outstanding team spirit, by watching their fellow OLA students dive in the pool. It was great to see the heat didn't bother them, as their faces gleamed with smiles all day long.

Mrs Byrne would like to thank Miss Grima and Miss Crozier for all their assistance on the day to help with the carnival and manage the OLA swim team. Thank you to all the parents who not only came to support their own children but the whole OLA team.
A big thank you to Natalie Spiteri for organising our OLA swim caps and for the parents who helped with timekeeping throughout the day. Mrs Byrne is extremely proud of the students, not just for their efforts in the pool but the way they behaved and their encouragement of one another through their words and actions.

Congratulations to Jesse Eldred, who was 11 Year Boys Runner Up Champion at the Zone carnival and we wish Jesse the best of luck on Friday at the Diocesan Swimming Carnival.
