Y4 is Bound for Botany Bay

WOW! How much fun was Year Four’s excursion to Botany Bay. If you were not there, you really missed out. We went to fascinating places in Botany Bay such as a First Fleet Museum and a Bushwalk. The adventure we had was educational and extremely exciting.

The First Fleet Museum was very interesting where we were able to see a range of different things. Firstly there was a scaled replica of Captain Arthur Phillip’s Ship which sailed to Australia. In another area of the Museum,  our very knowledgeable guide showed a variety of indigenous weapons and animals that were seen hundreds of years ago. However, the most fascinating part of the museum was when we were able to make soap out of wattle flowers. AMAZING!

The bush walk was another fun part of our excursion. We got to walk through native bushland and look at some great memorials. It was quite wet throughout our bushwalk because the weather changed and it was constantly raining throughout the day.

Overall it was a great excursion with everyone together. I do recommend that everyone one who goes to Botany Bay goes on the awesome bush walk.
