At Our Lady of the Angels, we believe it is important for students to pursue interests to find what they are passionate about. We give them exposure to a range of exciting opportunities to unlock their creative potential, develop a talent or follow a passion.

Creative and Performing Arts

We encourage our students to explore their passions and talents. We have a range of opportunities available for students to participate in creative and performing arts activities and programs such as music, drama and dance.

Our Lady of The Angels has two school bands who perform at school assemblies, eisteddfods, and concerts. The band includes trumpet, trombone, baritone horn, flute, clarinet, saxophone, percussion, and bass guitar. Students can start as complete beginners and receive group tuition on their instruments during school time.

Students also have the opportunity to develop their own creative audio projects. At our professional-grade recording studio, student can script, record and edit their own podcasts and interviews.

School Sport

Sport is a valued part of a school’s curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child by providing opportunities for social, physical, emotional and moral learning. Participation, enjoyment and skill development are the cornerstones of school sport. Representative pathways are also available through the Parramatta Diocesan Primary Schools Sports Council.

Our Lady of the Angels students proudly represent the school in competitive sports, including cross country, rugby, netball, and softball.

Social Justice

Our students are offered a wide variety of local community activities to help develop a sense of pride, respect and responsibility for themselves and others. This positive participation and actions can be seen in how we interact and learn with one another, work collaboratively and take ownership of our behaviour as well as active involvement in faith-based experiences.

Anchored in the spirit of St Francis, students participate in many activities that serve others by collecting grocery items for food hampers and fundraising for local charities.

In recent years, students have engaged with Jesuit Social Services Food Drive, Project Compassion, and the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal.

School Garden Program

Our beautiful green space is maintained by our student Garden Club. Thanks to a special Junior Landcare Grant, our garden program engages students in sustainability practices, such as compost and worm farming.

Once a week, the student garden club meets at lunchtime to work on enjoyable environmental projects while developing new friendships. By volunteering with weeding, planting, and watering, students develop a sense of responsibility and ownership over the shared green space.

The school's worm farm program encourages students to recycle their organic food scraps, teaching them valuable lessons about recycling and sustainability.

Excursions, camps and retreats

Every student loves to get out of the classroom and explore.

Our students benefit greatly from school trips where they are able to observe new things not available at school such as rare and exotic wildlife and plants, different cultures and the stories of our history. These experiences lead to deeper understanding of learning subjects.

Camps and retreats are also wonderful opportunities for students to develop independence, grow in faith, form strong friendships and make life-long memories!
